Known for her high-energy and enthusiastic yet pragmatic approach, Chris
Westphal attacks business issues with a take-charge attitude and a
roll-up-the-sleeves mentality. For over 25 years, Chris has been helping clients expand their businesses, improve productivity and achieve greater profits. Using her extensive experience as both a business leader and a consultant she has created strategic and annual marketing plans, spearheaded new product innovations, and restructured organizations, their processes and their teams.
Chris excels at driving business and marketing results to new heights by creating winning value propositions, developing focused, achievable tactical plans and coaching teams that consistently outperform their goals. Prior to joining IMPERATIVES, she developed a strong skill base which includes P&L and product management, planning and analysis, direction of corporate and brand communication efforts, field sales management, negotiation, motivation of channel partner alliances, and merger/acquisition evaluation. Chris has held senior executive positions in the consumer packaged goods, industrial manufacturing, retail, travel, and health care industries. Her career has spanned such companies as General Mills, Pillsbury, Carlson Companies, DataCard, Smarte Carte, Conwed Plastics, UnitedHealth Group, and Core Group Marketing, a national consulting firm.
Chris conducted her post-graduate work at Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and holds a mini-MBA from St. Thomas University. She earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degrees in Foods & Nutrition and FASC Education from MN State University (Mankato, MN). In addition to her formal education, she spent more than 17 years as an Adjunct Faculty member for Metropolitan State University where she created and taught the New Products Marketing and Development course.
